Good Question! We are the ONLY event marketing specific matchmaking site on the market. That means that every Freelancer has event experience.
How much does eventsGIG charge?
We are very transparent in our pricing structure, which can be found on the site. There are no hidden fees.
What are the benefits of using eventsGIG?
Because we are industry specific, organizations will have the assurance that anyone they hire will have event experience, and Freelancers will find the jobs that match to their talent.
How do I get started with eventsGIG?
It is easy, just sign up! The application is an easy format, but you will want to add specific information to ensure a good match.
What is a typical eventsGIG project?
We are anything but typical! Our projects range from 20-40 hours per week and can be anything from event strategist to technical director.
Are most projects Remote?
Most of our projects are remote, but most event work is remote or onsite at the event location.

Not having enough relevant/specific information in their profile.
How do I get jobs on eventsGIG?
A thorough profile is a start, but flexibility will help when building your rating.
Do you offer any benefits?
Not currently. But as we grow, it is part of our plan, so stay tuned.
Does payment matter if I want to get paid hourly or project-based?
You would make the payment arrangements with the organization.
Could I make good money working as a Freelancer?

Do I bid on business or am I matched with a buyer?
Both! You can actively work the site to find the right gigs for you, or you can have a more passive experience and wait to be matched. You can be successful in both strategies.
How soon could I get a project?
This depends on a few variables, but we are always bringing on new clients and looking for new freelancers to match them with. You can always reach out to us for help.
Are any of the jobs international?
We are US focused currently, but an organization may hire you to work on an international program.
How do I get paid?
The arrangements are discussed between you and the organization.
How can I improve my page to get more work?
List your experience, skills, and interests. Offer insight into what your skill set, and interests are. If you are having trouble, you can work with one of our talent specialists.
Am I allowed to ask a buyer for a review?
Absolutely! One of the best ways to get more jobs is to have a high rating.
As a freelancer, what tax form will I receive?
Depending on what tax category your work for the organization falls under, you will either receive a 1099 or W2 from them.

Should I hire through eventsGIG or try and find talent myself?
With eventsGIG you can find the right freelancer for the job you need right from your office. You do not have to troll different sites to find someone that may or may not have event experience. At eventsGIG you can be confident that our freelancers are ready to walk into the job that they are hired for.
How can I find experienced Freelancers on eventsGIG?
It is important for each organization to meet and interview each candidate themselves.
Do I have to provide the Freelancer with tax forms?
You will have the option of managing the employment status or having eventsGIG.
Are there better event Freelancers on other sites?
Nope! We have the best, at least we think so! Our freelancers are event folks.
What if I am unhappy with the work a Freelancer has provided?
Let us know what went wrong and we will work with you to make it right.
Do we have to pay all at one time?
We will work out payment arrangements that work for you.
Will you accept a PO or Credit Card?
We will accept both forms of payment.
What if I want to hire a Freelancer for full-time work?
We say YAY! We love when we have made a long-lasting match. We charge a % of their first year’s salary. That is all listed in the pricing section.

No, your subscription allows unlimited access

Let us know what went wrong and we will work with you to make it right.

What if I want to hire a Freelancer for full-time work?
We say YAY! We love when we have made a long-lasting match. We charge a 25% finders fee of their first year’s salary. That is all listed in the pricing section.
