The Producer will support virtual events being conducted across POPx’s various platform partners. Working closely with event organizers to ensure a smooth operation of virtual events on a project-by-project basis. Events supported may include town halls, virtual festivals/meetings, leadership events, product demos, executive briefings, trade shows, etc. This role will provide technical support and provide meeting organizers best-practices and recommendations to ensure quality programs. The candidate has an in-depth understanding of platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom Meetings/Webinar and Blue Jeans Events, etc. This position requires a strong level of relationship building, deep interpersonal skills and a superior knowledge of broadcast and live event production. This role will manage internal and client projects utilizing live and virtual platform technology to provide a successful end-to-end event experience for our clients and internal teams. This individual will be able to utilize their technical, production and interpersonal skills to help prepare, test, and deliver our virtual events. You will partner closely with multiple internal departments to understand their needs and help deliver best-in-class production experiences.
What are we looking for?
5+ years of professional experience, ideally in webcasting or a live, in-person audio/video production environment; control room experience preferred but not required; digital event management experience a plus
General knowledge of video switching technology and terminology.
2+ years of experience setting up and running live streaming applications.
Min 5-7 years of live event, production experience working with multiple production elements.
Microsoft Office Suite required.
Experience working with third party video streaming platforms required
Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Blue Jeans, Zoom, Vimeo and Adobe Connect preferred.
Adobe Suite of Applications (Photoshop, Illustrator) preferred
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Graphic Arts, Digital Design, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience. (preferred)
What will you do?
Coordinate, schedule and run live and virtual events/meetings
Lead pre-production calls, advise team on best platforms to use as well as best-practices for execution.
Oversee all production and technical aspects of an event, from directing production staff to testing equipment to managing the control room or area.
During the initial stages of the event, the Producer participates in ideation, collaborating with team members, art and creative directors for the event in order to generate concepts and brainstorm ideas. They utilize extensive experience and event knowledge in order to help develop a plan for the execution of these ideas
Perform webcast configuration, testing and delivery
Organize, prepare, and uploads event content (text, images, audio, video, etc.)
Work with Associate Experiential Producers to ensure deadlines are met for presentation recordings/editing; exhibitor booth creations and uploads, etc.
Ensures highest quality event standards and provides frontline support across multiple events, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely matter and to the clients' satisfaction
Establishes an excellent working relationship with internal teams; continuously strives to improve the level of overall service the team is providing
Assist all presenters with pre-production set-up, ie. camera/laptop placement, lighting, audio and backdrops if necessary
Construct, lead and execute Run of Shows, directing and managing cameras, microphones and interactivity during events, ie. videos, graphics, question and answer sessions, gamification and polling
Rate is based on experience and starts at $45/Hour
