EventsGIG LLC (“EventsGIG”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is engaged in the business of matching freelancers who provide expert services (“Freelancers”) with companies or organizations in its database that are in need of freelance work for their corporate gigs, events, or functions (“Organizations”). This Privacy Policy describes the information EventsGIG collects when you use the EventsGIG website (the “Website”), how we use this information, with whom we share it, and the choices you have in connection with this.

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

Through your use of the Website, EventsGIG may collect personal information, which is information that identifies you or relates to you as an identifiable individual. EventsGIG will collect personal information as outlined below.

Information Collected From Website Visitors

As you use the Website, EventsGIG will collect personal information when you:

Apply for employment: When you apply for employment with EventsGIG, we will collect your personal identifiers (name, email address, and telephone number) and your professional or employment information (resume, cover letter, employment history, and educational history). We use this personal information to assess and manage your application with EventsGIG, to communicate with you, and as necessary to comply with the law.

Contact us: When you contact us or chat with us, we collect your personal identifiers (name and email address) and any other information you choose to include in your correspondence. We use this personal information to respond to your questions or inquiries, troubleshoot where necessary, and address any issues you may have.

Invite friends: When you invite friends to the Website, we will collect the personal identifiers (name and email address) of your friend to send your invite request.

Subscribe to marketing emails: If you subscribe to our marketing communications, we will collect your email address to fulfill your request to receive information we feel may be of interest to you.

Information Collected Freelancers

If you use the Website as a Freelancer, we will collect personal information when you:

Create an account: When you create an account, we will collect your personal identifiers (name, email address, telephone number, and selected username and password), location, profile picture, professional or employment information (employment history, educational history, and experience), and any other information you choose to disclose in your profile. We use this personal information to create your account, communicate with you, and facilitate your access to the Website and services offered thereon.

Purchase a subscription: If you purchase a Website subscription, we will collect your payment information (payment card number, expiration date, and CVV) to process your subscription purchase. Please note our payment processor collects and processes your payment information on our behalf and EventsGIG only maintains historical payment information.

Apply for a project: When you apply for a project on the Website, we will collect your professional or employment information (resume and cover letter) to facilitate your application process.

Receive payment: If you are hired for a position, you will need to provide your financial account information (bank account number and routing number) to receive payment for the project. Please note our payment processor collects and processes your financial information on our behalf and EventsGIG only maintains historical transaction information.

EventsGIG may also use the personal information collected for the above purposes to comply with the law and for other limited circumstances as described in INFORMATION SHARING.

Information Collected From Organizations

If you use the Website as an Organization, we will collect personal information when you:

Create an account: When an Organization creates an account, we will collect the Organization’s personal identifiers (Organization name, physical address, and telephone number). We will also collect the personal identifiers of the Organization’s administrator for the account, including name, email address, and telephone number. We use this personal information to create the account, communicate with the Organization, and facilitate the Organization’s access to the Website and services offered thereon.

 Pay for the Website: To pay for the Website, we will collect the Organization’s payment information (payment card number, expiration date, and CVV) to process the payment. Please note our payment processor collects and processes the payment information on our behalf and EventsGIG only maintains historical payment information.

Information Collected From Cookies

In addition to the personal information you provide, we also collect information automatically via cookies as you use the Website. This information includes your:

Usage information: This includes information about your interaction with the Website, such as pages visited, frequency of access, time spent on each page, and referring website details.

INFORMATION SHARING

EventsGIG may share the personal information identified in this Privacy Policy in the following instances:

With Organizations: When you apply for a project as a Freelancer, we will share your personal information (personal identifiers and professional or employment information) with the selected Organization to facilitate the application process.  

With service providers: We share your personal information with our service providers that assist us in providing the Website, such as our payment processor, platform provider, chat provider, IT support, and email provider.

Within EventsGIG: Where necessary, we share your personal information within EventsGIG in order to efficiently carry out our business and to the extent permitted by law.

In the event of a corporate reorganization: In the event that we enter into, or intend to enter into, a transaction that alters the structure of our organization, such as a reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale, joint venture, assignment, consolidation, transfer, change of control, or other disposition of all or any portion of our assets, we would share your personal information with third parties, including the buyer or target (and their agents and advisors) for the purpose of facilitating and completing the transaction. We would also share your personal information with third parties if we undergo bankruptcy or liquidation, in the course of such proceedings.

NEVADA RESIDENTS

If you are a consumer in the State of Nevada, you may request to opt-out of the current or future sale of your personal information. We do not currently sell any of your personal information under Nevada law, nor do we plan to do so in the future. CORRECT OR VIEW YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You may access your EventsGIG account to correct or view certain personal information of yours in our possession and which is associated with your account.

 

MARKETING EMAILS

You may opt-out of receiving marketing emails from us by clicking the “unsubscribe” link provided with each email. Please note that we will continue to send you emails necessary to the Website, your account, or any assistance you request.

 

DO NOT TRACK

We do not support Do Not Track (DNT).

We implement and maintain reasonable security measures, such as access controls and encryption, to protect the personal information we collect and maintain. However, no security measure or modality of data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the information we have collected from you.

AGE RESTRICTION

The Website is not intended for individuals under the age of eighteen (18). If we learn that we have collected or received personal information from a child under the age of eighteen (18), we will delete that information.
